Sometimes we just can't avoid it but unfortunately our wide format printers do emit some VOCs (volatile organic compounds). We did choose "eco" or low solvent based machines. We didn't have to and they are more expensive, but we did, neither did we have to buy an Air Purification System at more additional cost, but we did. At the point and place the VOCs are released during printing, a series of ducts draw out all those "nasty niffs" and pass them through charcoal filters which then exhaust nice clean air, making sure our staff aren't exposed to any unwanted emissions. Unwanted emissions... shame we can't fit one to "Big Pete" but that's another story.
